Comic Summary

This is a story about a young stallion who was destined to become a hero. But he knows he is nothing of the sort, and still doubts himself after he is given the title "Heir Savior." Everyone in Okai believes in the prophecy, that one day a Savior will rise among them to free them from this dying land, from those bold sands that continue to devour their home. There is a way to escape, yet the question is, is the Heir Savior willing to do it? Is he willing to acknowledge himself after dismissing the prophecy as a tale? Follow Arawn, a "Royal" Ashk, as he comes to choose: The Sands, the Void, or the Heir Savior? They never really had a choice. ---

Seeds of the Sands Comic DRAFT 4

*The Lost Head Elder is Alia's grandfather from her mother's side.

Yeah, the old fashioned lazy bum ending. xD But it's a draft (one I'm not sure I'll ever edit), so it's okay I guess. Thank you all for reading, and stay tuned for the epilogue and the illustrated prologue, also the official comic cover! :)
And these are actually not going to be drafts.
well at least i got to draw an uncle dion mini for this one. xD

moral of the story:
                                  When Helm was Helm he was kind to everyone except Helm
                               and when Dion was Dion he was mean to everyone except Dion.
  no. thats not it. Idk I tried to make it have a theme. Maybe it has several, depending on the POV?

I want to know what you guys thought of the story overall! Was it boring? Interesting? Were the characters bland? If not, why did you connect the most to and why? I'd love to know your thoughts on this! (And I don't mind criticism either. And if something doesn't make sense (loopholes?) I'd be glad to answer for them. :) Again, thanks so much for reading! You guys are the best!) <3

    I think Arawn was a bit bland tbh. eh. if I ever make a sequel, he'd be a lot cooler I promise. But I doubt I ever will. ;-;

  4. Okay wow, this made me cry. okay, wow. So even though Arawn wasn't the Heir Savior, he still was a hero. Poor Sputnik, Arawn stole his job. xD A part of me was hoping to see Helm in the Valley of Lost Souls. Like maybe Helm really was a horse, and Dion just took over his body and impersonated him. xD
    Also, what happened to Irina? She has such an interesting personality! Were they all freed? And when they're freed, does that mean they come back to life or they go to Horsie Heaven? xD

    Also, that's really interesting to think that part of Dion may have actually cared about Arawn. Was it because Arawn cared about Dion so much when he was "Helm"? showed him the tru compassion and luv.

    And also when King Dion was dying and he was trying to be "Helm" again, it made me so sad because it was all weird and scary looking! seriously this is a pg rated story guys, that was scary!!! lol xDD
    he looked like a messed up puppet monster! it was seriously weird scary! like, that's helm, but it's not him. ;-; and he's all messed up. nightmares.

    And I really liked how King Dion gave Sahail back! or "Helm" gave him back.
    and
    I KNEW IT. I knew Sahail wasn't going to be dead forever! I hoped it so much that it became fact <:) lol jk. xD And he has a lotta catchin' up to do, too! But wow, that's so cool how he's been the Heir Savior this whole time. The elders really did make a big mistake on that one. xD

    And the part when Arawn thanks King Dion makes me so sad! and then when he's about to leave the portal and he stops and looks back, that was also so sad!! because that was also... like, helm's skeleton. ;-;

    But oh gosh, Arawn is such a great protagonist! I really appreciate the character growth. And he's one of those protagonists the audience can really like because he's not annoying in any way. Yeah, maybe in the beginning he might be annoying that he didn't believe in the Void or anything, but who can blame him? But yeah, I really like Arawn as a protagonist!

    And when you think about it, I don't think Arawn would have been able to escape the Valley of Lost Souls if he didn't have such a strong friendship with Helm. Because he was upset about "Helm" betraying him, or whatever. So King Dion kinda just screwed things up for himself. xD By being such a good "Helm." I dunno, that's just what I think.

    And I liked it what you said, "When Helm was Helm he was kind to everyone except Helm, and when Dion was Dion he was mean to everyone except Dion." I think it's really cool! And I think it's cool how Helm was kinda what Dion wanted to be! Helm is still my favorite, even though I guess that technically means Dion is my favorite character since "Helm" doesn't technically exist... xD

    (wow I wrote my comment so long, it had to be cut up into two parts. This is part 1 out of 2)

    1. (part 2/2)
      And it made me so sad when they left Okai! even though it was a junkyard. But still! So much history there. I don't want it to be forgotten! xD

      Gosh, the ending is just so happy, it makes me sad! Also, it's a good thing they destroyed the Portal Stone, but it made me sad because I wanted them to still be able to go back and look at the skeleton or idk what i'm saying LOL. Because Arawn grew up there, so it just made me kinda sad when they left it. But it's a good thing they did!

      Also I'm looking forward to the epilogue so much! Because I don't want this to end. And also the illustrated prologue will be super fun!!

      And to answer your question on why I connected to some characters: I connected with Helm because 1) when he first came into the story, it was a super cool entrance full of character, and I noticed that he had a roman nose and i was like, "hey, i have an ugly roman nose too!!" and so i related to him :') LOL. And I guess I just liked him for the same reason his Guard liked him -- he was just a great Captain and everybody loved him.
      And I also really like Arawn too, I think he's my 2nd favorite! And I also like Sputnik too, because at first I had a really hard time trying to figure out what his character was and who he was, but then when it came to the end everything just fit together and it made sense! I feel like I know him now.
      And I also like Alia, because she's just a super cool gal! She's in charge and she gets the job done. And I think she liked Helm too. xD And they would have been cute.
      I just like all of the characters.

  5. I don't even have the words. ;-; Wait let me just re-read this again because I just- THE WAY YOU CONTINUED ON FROM THE CLIFFHANGER! PERFECT! Gosh there's so much tension and dang it's so awesomely sinister! I love it! ;-; And omg the fact that you explored through Arawn what it'd be like being turned into void... I was wondering about that. :0 Too good omg. And LOL Irina's "merry band"! Dude perfect! x'D That impact tho' when Irina says she'd been in there for a century. o.o Okay but that bit where Arawn escapes... huge impact, very huge impact. O.O (I envy your skill ;-;) LOL yes I love Arawn's tenacity! Poor Dion! x'D This... this is truly formidable... the way Arawn turned the tables! Ahhh I love it too much you don't even know! *-* And omigosh the way Dion's plan backfired on him! Arawn's smirk there. Gosh perfect, SO perfect! why! ;-; Oooh the two sides of Dion! (oh dear all Arawn can thank is the dead remains of Dion... ;-;) well we got Sahail back (wooooo!!!!) but Dion had to be sacrificed for that. dang. ;-; (writers are so mean D:< *cough* hypocritical xD *cough*) Poor Sahail has no clue. ;-; *sobs* family reunions!! I love those!! ;-; yes! awww *-* And Sputniiiiiiikkkkkk and Alia!!! <3 okay but "father"... I'm not crying it's okay ;-; *internal screaming* LOL omg Sputnik arguing! Yeeehhaaaaaaa! B) Yes, yes that's right, Sputnik was unfairly wronged. u_u (i just love him to bits why? <3) THAT ENDING WAS SO POWERFUL!! I just... I just felt like everything was closing just like one of those good old endings in a good comic/book I've read! ;-; Dang that had such an effect on me! The ennnnd! :'D *reaches out to Arawn* noooo come back to me I was so attached to you whyyyy ;-; (endings are too hard especially when the characters are fictional... gosh the pain) I shall go over and read the epilogue after (since I've noticed you've posted that ^^)~ This was TOO good for words!! 6. Okay now for more serious matters... u.u I LOVE THIS SO MUCH OMG AND I NEED TO RE-READ THE COMIC FROM START TO FINISH! :D

    No omg, it certainly wasn't boring at all! In fact, it was more than interesting... I was hooked like a fish all the way through! ;-; I can't even express how good it was.

    I love all the effort you spent on this to intrigue us readers with all those amazing characters (they have so much depth which I'm not at all good at ;-;) and all the moving backstories and emotion! :D Not to mention, it looks like you must've spent so much time on the artwork! ;-; (I really think you should consider getting this published somewhere!) I think the plot was simply... gold. The way you turned the tables for Helm and Sputnik! :'D That had a seriously good impact on me when you revealed it... I can't express how rich the sequence of events are! ;-;

    As for the character(s) I connected most to, yeah you got it... Sputniiik!! xD I love those silent, sassy, (harr ;-;) types too much. And he's just generally a REALLY cool dude (I'm proud to admit I fangirled a lot bc of him). I honestly didn't see it coming there that he wasn't evil (although I noticed there was something fishy going on with him there in the plot! xD. I also love Alia (yass Sputnik's lovely daughter) a lot too... the ladies in your story are amazing. ;-; Not to mention, Arawn's relationship with his bro Sahail! So deep. <3 And I love, love, love the Lenore and Odin ship. Yes. Yes. >:D (and the Sputnik and Alia ship... gosh too many feels there ;-;) BUT! Dion/Helm... Heck yes!! That was BREATHTAKING! I loved him from the very beginning... he has a deeply interesting personality and I LOVE how you built it up here! Truly. ;-;

    The part where Helm revealed himself as Dion though honestly, I swear, really caught me! xD As in, everything clicked and I kind of just had this moment of shocking surprise? Like, it just crashed down on me completely! I adore Dion as a villain so, so much (eep, my constant, hopeless obsession with the bad guys! ;-;) I'd like to talk about him all day. Yes. He's a really interesting character! I think the world needs him and his story. ;-;

    You know, another powerful thing was Arawn's relationship with Helm! I loved them two so much and you really caught my emotions when I realised Helm was Dion! C': Apologies I can't stress it enough! ;-;

    As for the questions! I do have one! xD I probably missed something or didn't understand something properly (maybe you mentioned it before) but I didn't understand why Alia and her mother share the same name? xD I must've missed something, gosh, sorry! ;-; (I feel kind of stupid not knowing about that... now there's another reason to re-read the comic and re-understand everything! xD)

    I'd also like to add again that I LOVE how this plot revolved around the one we were talking about on dA! I had one of those light bulb sensations when the shell of Helm disappeared and Dion explained everything (from your perspective haha xD). Because as I mentioned before, I kind of connected the portal in this story to the one we were talking about but funnily enough never understood that Sputnik was the good guy and Helm the bad! xD

    Right, yes, I'm off to go and read the epilogue! I can't wait for the prologue too! C: You should seriously make more comics like this! We all need them! ;-; (And your art is FANTASTIC, I really noticed your improvement! :D) Once again, yes, you need to think about getting your works published some day ma'am. u.u

    Ahhhh thank you SO SO much for sharing this beautiful comic with us, I can't thank you enough! :'D Keep up the amazing work, Hana! <3
