Comic Summary

This is a story about a young stallion who was destined to become a hero. But he knows he is nothing of the sort, and still doubts himself after he is given the title "Heir Savior." Everyone in Okai believes in the prophecy, that one day a Savior will rise among them to free them from this dying land, from those bold sands that continue to devour their home. There is a way to escape, yet the question is, is the Heir Savior willing to do it? Is he willing to acknowledge himself after dismissing the prophecy as a tale? Follow Arawn, a "Royal" Ashk, as he comes to choose: The Sands, the Void, or the Heir Savior? They never really had a choice. ---

SotS: Chapter 5: Arawn's Dreams

Only 10 more chapters to finish Sots! :) Still a long way to go, but I'm proud of how far this revamp has gone. This chapter will be the beginning of straying super far from the draft, so the stuff that happens in it could be unrecognizable. But yeah, I'm proud of how far I've gone, and I'm super grateful to all my readers! :) You guys are awesome.

  1. Ahh this chapter!! ;-; *gasp* I love your covers, they just keep dragging us in (no pun intended)! This one in particular is super spooky with those black elements drowning Arawn and it ties in too well with the nightmare visions that are haunting him. <:) (yes girl you should be really proud of your efforts! u_u)
I love how this dives straight in to a continuation of the cliffhanger from the previous excerpt! Helm and Bess barging in to take responsibilities for the actions really highlights their roles as leaders haha. (*cries* I adore Helm's expressions, he's too good <33) I feel a lot of sympathy for Arawn, losing his brother and then having to take the blame as well... unfair. 8'( You can spot the difference in Helm and Bess's expressions so well; Bess is pitying him while Helm appears to be mad apparently! xD (yes as i said, helm's expressions are gold and i love him <3) The abrupt transition from the calm desert dunes to Arawn's petrifying hallucinations is simply phenomenal! And the way Sahail appears before him, following his transformation into the villain is terrifying heck. o.O (must say, those black and orange tones are suuuper creepy, really adds to that sinister atmosphere!) The page there where Arawn is blackmailed is intriguing too, I can see you're picking different paths with this reboot lol. But at least this particular concept gives the reader a figment of hope while driving the story forwards! (If in a taunting manner hm... >8() The moment of solitude in the page where Arawn reflects on the deal and vision overall matches perfectly with the pastel colours of the formidable background you've included in each panel! :D Those fluffy clouds, the gorgeous textures on those red rocky hills...
(seriously, how many tutorials did you go through to draw them so accurately?? ok nvm I know you have magical powers that don't even require lessons/tutorials ;-;)... it's like two completely separate dimensions and makes you think that none of this is really possible (if only 8'(). Also, you've expressed Arawn's feelings of desolation so accurately! Like, there's something so deep and terrifying, infesting him with inner turmoil, that he can't tell them about because he's been promised a dark deal. ;-; (*sobs* what is this artistic talent you have) Arawn's constant encounters with the villain have truly encouraged a growth in his heroic attitude. <3 (It really hurts that he's willing to do anything to return poor Sahail! <8) i just- do you understand that feeling when you really have no words left because I'm feeling that rn ok. https://media3.giphy.com/media/NiE32Ep8OsgOA/200.gif (<-- ye anyway that's me 8)) whyyyy? Sputty looks like the centre of attention or something and the whole image is super kingly or something idk but ahhh why isn't this a print on my wall already?? ;-; The realistic textures in the dark amethyst-purple sky and mysterious ol' Sputty conveys a sense of foreboding of what's to happen next! C': "The Void have infested my head and they will not go away" ... can I just tell you about the very impact this powerful quote has given me? What a way to end the excerpt! I can see exactly why you used these words to illustrate one of the pictures you drew in your artwork. ;-; Hnnnnggg this comic is seriously super striking and compelling and im b l a n k ... i have no words literally. *dies*
